The RN provides cardiopulmonary testing and cardiac and pulmonary rehab services in accordance with departmental policies.


*Complies with PENN HIGHLANDS BROOKVILLE  policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state or local law and regulations


Cardiac rehabilitation to include:  patient orientation, assessment, development of the plan of care, supervise and monitor exercise sessions, monitor for inappropriate response to exercise, communication with physicians, documentation of daily vitals and patient response and progress.

Checks emergency supplies and crash carts within the department.






Set up and supervise mock code 99 for stress testing area and cardiac rehab area once per year,





Assist with and perform the following tests: Tilt table test, Stress tests, Trans esophageal echo, Holter monitor and analysis, ph manometry  studies,  EKG, Bronchoscopy,





General duties as directed.


  • Graduate from an approved nursing program required
  • Experience analyzing ECG rhythms in a cardiovascular clinical area {i.e. coronary care Emergency care} preferred
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse in PA or Temporary Practice Permit required
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications required
