    The food service worker is responsible for preparing and serving soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts to patients, employees and visitors.  The food service worker cleans and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, work surfaces and equipment after use.

    Responsibilities

    *Complies with PENN HIGHLANDS BROOKVILLE policies and procedures, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state or local law and regulations

     

    Set up cold cafeteria counter and salad bar

     

     

    Assists in preparing food for patients, employees and visitors.  Delivers between meal and H.S. snacks as assigned.  Follows menu and portion control.

     

    Assists in preparing patient trays by placing assigned items on trays

    Have all supplies ready for patient meals at assigned time

    Takes requests for and prepare late tray orders

     

    Assists at dishwasher and follows universal precaution

     

    Stores all food in proper containers with labels and at proper temperatures

     

    Maintains sanitary conditions by thoroughly sanitizing and cleaning all work surfaces and equipment in the department

    Follows safety procedures and hazardous material handling precautions

     

    Delivers tray carts to floors and deliver patient trays as assigned

     

    Operates orders communication module and printer when applicable

     

    General duties as directed.

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, Customer service attitude
    • Food Service experience preferred
